SAS
ANNUAL AWARDS
The SAS Annual Awards is the biggest annual function on the SAS calendar
of events.
A wonderful opportunity to recognise the outstanding success
of our athletes. Each program has three award categories, they are;
- Outstanding Achievement award,
- Academy Award
- Contribution Award.
The Outstanding Achievement Award for each of the programs is named
after the patron of that particular program.
The winners of the individual
program Outstanding Achievement Awards then via for the chance to win the
overall SAS Outstanding Achievement Award named after SAS honorary
patron Matthew Knights.
The Outstanding Achievement Award is won by the athlete who has performed to a
high level coupled with a high commitment and work ethic.
The Academy Award is won by an athlete that is someone
who best mirrors the academies holistic approach to sporting development
and a balance approach to their lifestyle and who has made a significant improvement in their chosen sport.
The Contribution Award can go to any individual whether it’s
an athlete, coach, administrator or volunteer. The award recognises
the individuals’ contribution to the sport program of their choice.
